This week Dr Paul is thrilled to be in Boston, USA, for the SOSORT International Congress. SOSORT brings together experts in the non-surgical treatment management of scoliosis and is just one of several high-profile events we’ll be at this year.
Talks featured cutting-edge topics such as 3D printing for bracing, the evolution of brace monitors and the use of biomechanical modelling and predictive analytics to optimise treatment for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS). Sessions also explored the aetiology and pathogenesis of scoliosis, including the implications of paediatric chest wall surgeries on scoliosis risk and a retrospective analysis of its co-occurrence with infantile chest surgeries.
While it’s great to stay on top of the latest advancements in technology, for Paul, these events are also a wonderful chance to see old friends and colleagues and make new contacts. It’s critical that we discuss and develop ideas to ensure we can provide the most up to date and effective care in scoliosis management.
See you at the next one!
