Traveling locally
The UK scoliosis clinic is located in Chelmsford, Essex. We’re approximately 9 minutes walk from Chelmsford station – or if you prefer, the clinic is immediately opposite the King Edward IV School bus stop.
Free on site parking is available for clients.
Traveling Long distance or Internationally
We’re very happy to welcome clients from further afield, and ideally positioned to make your journey as easy as possible.
Traveling by air
We’re positioned close to both London Stansted (STN) and London Southend (SND) airports. Both airports are served by a variety of affordable carriers. Flights at less busy times can be very inexpensive indeed.
From London Stansted
There are several options to reach the clinic from London Stansted airport.
By Coach and Bus
A regular coach service runs from Stansted to Chelmsford, you can buy a ticket in advance or on the coach or bus.
- After exiting the terminal building, walk (approx 3 minutes) to the coach ramp. (If you exit the terminal via the main exit at check-in area B the coach stop is directly in front of you)
- Coaches to Chelmsford depart from stand 19
- Take the X10 or X30 coach, towards Southend. (Approx 40 mins)
- Get off the X 10 or X30 at Chelmsford Central bus station.
- From here, it’s a 9 minute walk to the UK Scoliosis Clinic.
- If you prefer, change bus to the 42B (towards Stansted Airport)
- The 42B stops at King Edward IV School, which is directly opposite the clinic. (Approx 3 minutes)
By Taxi
There are numerous taxi services which operate at Stansted airport. Stansted’s preferred provider is 24×7 taxis, who pickup directly from the terminal building. 24×7 quote all journey prices up front. For more information please go here.
From London Southend
There also are a number of ways to reach the clinic from London Southend.
By Coach and Bus
Thee are a number of ways to reach us by coach or bus from Southend. You can buy a ticket in advance or on the coach or bus.
The most direct route is:
- After exiting the terminal building, turn left (towards the air traffic control tower) and walk (approx 2 minutes) to the bus stop. (The bus stop is at the end of the taxi rank, almost opposite the control tower).
- Take the X30 coach, towards Stansted, Via Chelmsford. (Approx 50 mins)
- Get off the X30 at Chelmsford Central bus station.
- From here, it’s a 9 minute walk to the UK Scoliosis Clinic.
- If you prefer, change bus to the 42B (towards Stansted Airport)
- The 42B stops at King Edward IV School, which is directly opposite the clinic. (Approx 3 minutes)
By Train
The train station is immediately opposite the terminal building – you cant miss it. The ticket office is open 06.00-23.00 every day.
- Trains to Chelmsford depart from platform 1
- Take the Southend Victoria to London Liverpool Street service calling at Shenfield. (approx 30 minutes)
- At Shenfield change for the London Liverpool Street to Clacton-on-Sea, or the London Liverpool Street to Braintree service. Both stop at Chelmsford. (Approx 11 minutes)
- From Chelmsford Station its a 9 minute walk to the UK Scoliosis Clinic.
- If you prefer, exit the station a take the bus (stops directly outside the station) the 42, 54, or 56 bus will stop at King Edward IV School, which is directly opposite the clinic. (Approx 3 minutes)
By Taxi
There are numerous taxi services which operate at Southend airport. Southend’s preferred provider is Andrews taxis, who pickup from the taxi rank, immediately opposite the terminal building. Andrews also offer a late night taxi service, if you have missed the last train. For more information please go here.
Traveling by rail
On the Eurostar
It’s easy to reach our clinic via the Eurostar train service. The Eurostar will set you down at Kings Cross St. Pancras international station in London.

From Kings cross:
- Exit the train and walk straight ahead towards the front of the train, then turn right to access the ticket hall.
- Purchase your ticket to Chelmsford here.
- Enter the London underground
- You can take the Circle line, Metropolitan line or Hammersmith & City line to Liverpool Street (Whichever choice, approximately 7 minutes)
- At London Liverpool street, exit the London underground – notice the platforms directly in front of you. Trains to Chelmsford will depart from the platforms furthest to your right.
- After exiting the London underground, turn right to see the departure boards. You can take any train which stops at Chelmsford to reach us. Most “faster” services (which have fewer stops) stop at Chelmsford. (Approx 30 minutes, on a faster service).
- From Chelmsford Station it’s a 9 minute walk to the UK Scoliosis Clinic.
- If you prefer, exit Chelmsford station a take the bus (stops directly outside the station) the 42, 54, or 56 bus will stop at King Edward IV School, which is directly opposite the clinic. (Approx 3 minutes)
